Demanslar\u0131n en s\u0131k sebebi olarak Alzheimer hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131 65-70 ya\u015f\u0131ndaki bireylerin %5\u2019inde g\u00f6r\u00fclmekte ve de her 5 y\u0131lda bir prevalans\u0131 katlanarak artmaktad\u0131r. D\u00fcnyada ve T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ya\u015fl\u0131 n\u00fcfusun artmas\u0131 nedeniyle ileri ya\u015ftaki bireylerde morbiditenin en s\u0131k nedenlerinden birinin AH olabilece\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. 1907 y\u0131l\u0131nda Alois Azheimer taraf\u0131ndan tan\u0131mlanan ilk Azheimer vakas\u0131ndan sonra hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n tan\u0131 kriterleri zaman i\u00e7inde de\u011fi\u015fmekte ve son y\u0131llarda teknolojinin geli\u015fmesi ile yeni \u00f6neriler getirilmektedir. Bu tan\u0131 kriterleri tan\u0131sal kesinlikten uzak oldu\u011fundan, kesin tan\u0131 i\u00e7in halen n\u00f6ropatolojik doku \u00f6rne\u011fi yan\u0131 beyin dokusu biyopsisi gerekmektedir. \u00d6rnekleme i\u015flemi giri\u015fimsel oldu\u011fundan pratikte s\u0131k olarak uygulanmamakta ve bu sebepten \u00f6t\u00fcr\u00fc giri\u015fimsel olmayan, sensitif ve spesifik biyobelirte\u00e7 ihtiyac\u0131 duyulmaktad\u0131r. Biyobelirte\u00e7lerden beyin omurilik s\u0131v\u0131s\u0131 (BOS) analizi ve Amiloid PET g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme \u00f6n plana \u00e7\u0131kmaktad\u0131r. \u00d6zellikle BOS analizi giri\u015fimsel bir i\u015flem oldu\u011fundan halen ka\u00e7\u0131n\u0131lmakta ve son zamanlarda tan\u0131sal niteli\u011fi BOS analizi ile \u00e7ok yak\u0131n olan amiloid PET g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme tekni\u011fi ilgi \u00e7ekmektedir. Amiloid PET g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fclemesi 2011\u2019den beri Alzheimer Hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki en erken ve en belirgin patolojik de\u011fi\u015fiklik olan amiloid birikimi g\u00f6stermek i\u00e7in FDA onay\u0131 alarak ticar\u0131 ve tan\u0131sal ara\u00e7 olarak kullan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. \u00a0\u00dclkemizde de yak\u0131n zamanda kullan\u0131lmaya ba\u015flanacak bu olan bu tan\u0131 y\u00f6ntemi unutkanl\u0131k hastalar\u0131n\u0131n bir \u00e7o\u011funa siz Alheimer Hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131 olmayacaks\u0131n\u0131z\u00a0 dedirtecektir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amyloid  PET Imaging in the Diagnosis of Alzheimer\nDisease<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia. It is seen in 5% of 65-70 years old individuals, and the prevalence is increasing exponentially every five years. The elderly population are increasing in the world and in Turkey and researchers are expected that AD is going to be the one of the most frequent causes of morbidity in the population with advanced age. After the first diagnosis of AD by Alois Alzheimer in 1907, AD criteria changed by time and development of technology in recent years has brought new proposals.  Diagnostic criteria are far from the diagnostic accuracy, so neuropathological tissue sampling is still needed for definitive diagnosis. The sampling process is invasive, and it\u2019s not applied in clinical practice often, by this reason, there is a need for sensitive and specific noninvasive biomarkers as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis and amyloid PET imaging. In real practice, CSF analysis is still being avoided because it is an invasive procedure and has attracted amyloid PET imaging which diagnostic quality is very close to the analysis of CSF results. Since 2011 with the approval of the FDA, amyloid PET imaging is using as a commercial tool for the diagnosis of amyloid deposition in the brain, the earliest and most significant pathological change in AD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
